Hi,

I've got a field with an attached LOV that returns a selected emp_id, but it doesn't return any of the associated fields in the datablock (name, address etc).

If I query the emp_id field manually it returns all the data just fine.

Help please!

Presumably you need to change the LOV query.

Ok, let me explain a little better. I have a form that contains employee information. I want to select from a list of employees that work at a certain office and see their details. I set the form to query, select the emp_id from the LOV and I want to bring up the rest of the employee's details.

Well if you're in enter-query mode why don't you just execute the query?
That'd be the correct way to do it.

Sorry for wasting your time, I've just redone it and it's working now. I'm not sure what the glitch was.

PS I was executing the query, and it wasn't working that's why I posted.

That wasn't at all clear from your posts.
Glad you've sorted it.
