Is there any way to save a form created in Forms 10g R2 that will make it run on Forms 10G R1?

Any and all ideas appreciated.

Did you try to recompile it using Forms 10g R1 Developer?

Hi there, thank you for your response.

When I open the forms (.fmb files) in the older version I get the error "PDE-PEP006 Encoded program has an unknown format" and when I try to run the form I get error "FRM-30085: Unable to adjust form for output." When I use the editor to check the contents of the triggers, nothing comes up. I have seen on other forums that there are compatibility issues. I was wondering if anyone had come up with a patch or workaround.

I should also say that I have tried using the migration assistant, but it seems to make no difference.

Well, yes - I was aware of the fact that you can't run R2 forms on R1 application server. I was, though, hoping that you could "edit" that form in a lower version. Apparently - not. The same happens when opening a 10g form in Builder 6i, but - as 10g R1 and R2 are very close versions, I thought that it would work. I was wrong.

Sorry, I don't know a workaround (but creating a form from scratch in the R1 version). Hopefully, someone else will be able to assist.
