Hi, i want to know how to stop going to next record if it finds the last record. Because when i click my next button(it is the last record), i try to click my previous or first button but it won't go back, enter-query mode is the error message. pls help

another error message i got is frm-40102: record must be entered or deleted first

What's the full error message that mentions enter query?

I don't see enter-query mentioned?
So why did you mention it in the first post?

Cannot navigate out of current block in enter-query mode.

And that error is correct. You can't navigate out of the current block in enter-query mode by design.
So why are you trying to?

If i navigate through my records and reach the last one, it should stop there and shouldn't go to a blank field

And what's this got to do with enter-query mode?
You can add key-next-rec and key-down triggers that check :system.last_record and do null if it's true, otherwise next_record.
